Taj Mahal (Hindi: ताज महल) is a mausoleum located in Agra, India. Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as a mausoleum of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Construction began in 1632 and was completed in 1648. Some of the controversy surrounding the question of who is responsible for the Taj is a strong team of designers and craftsmen were responsible for the design, with Ustad Isa, as the most likely candidate for chief designer.

Taj Mahal (sometimes called the “Taj”) is generally considered the best example of Mughal architecture, style, which combines elements of Persian, Indian and Islamic architecture. Despite the fact that the dome of white marble mausoleum is the most famous monument, the Taj Mahal is an integrated complex of structures.
