There has never been so impressed with the beach as soon as I was when Tayrona on the eyes. After 40 minutes walking through the forest, I was expecting to see a classic Caribbean beach, all white sand and calm turquoise water, perhaps a few cottages for tourists. Instead, he went with wild marine accident on rocks the size of houses along the untamed and semi-deserted beach. In a country with “healthy” Tayrona tourism industry will certainly be a great resource, but with Colombia in the pristine tropical forest in the Cascade mountain on the right side in the sand. And there was nobody there, except for a small community backpacking tourists, who sleep in hammocks in the air.
Upon arrival, I wandered along it, marvelling at the raw beauty and remoteness of the place, but after only 10 minutes walk to my friend Jim literally! It unlikeliest place, “You will never guess who I met in the history of travel, as well as the best beach vacation I ever had. I understand that it is becoming increasingly popular in the ten years since I was there, but thanks to his status as a national park developers kept under control.
