Versailles Palace, or simply Versailles, is a real castle in Versailles, France. English is often called the Palace of Versailles. The construction of the castle of Versailles was a country town, but now in the suburbs of Paris in the city in its own right. Since 1682, when King Louis XIV in Paris to the royal family was forced to return to the capital in 1789, the Court of Versailles was the center of power the old regime in France.
