BOSTON — The snowstorm left many holiday travelers facing delays, cancellations and diversions at airports and train stations across the region.
Many flights at Boston’s Logan International Airport to destinations including Baltimore, Chicago, New York and Washington, D.C. were canceled.
“It happens. It’s weather. You deal with it,” commented one traveler at Logan airport.
Some travelers even opted to sleep on the floor.
“I gotta fly out of town tomorrow, so hopefully everything will be open and running by then,” said Brian Smith, a stranded passenger.
The storm also shut down Amtrak’s trains along the East Coast.
“We said this was going to be an adventure when we booked the trip, and it is,” said Marcy Baertlin, who was trying to make it back with her husband from Boston in time for Sunday’s New York Jets football game.
The weekend before Christmas is normally one of the busiest travel weekends of the year.
